本次活動本地繪本作家林建才將會透過分享其他國家的繪本去連結、比較和分析本地的繪本創作及創作者。藝術家的創作很多時會受生活的周邊影響，西班牙繪本藝術家馬努葉爾・馬爾索（Manuel Marsol）的作品《山中》描繪作者兒時的村落和旅行的經驗，我們希望透過共讀繪本去看在地寫作及它背後隱藏的城市和故事，從而學習欣賞或創作自己的本土作品。
關於講者
林建才為香港藝術家， 2020年修畢英國Anglia Ruskin University兒童書插畫碩士課程。首本繪本作品《電車小叮在哪裡》贏得2016年中文文學創作獎第一名及2019 年香港出版雙年獎。而其他插畫作品亦曾贏得英國Batsford Prize首獎及入選德國白烏鴉獎和波隆拿兒童書展插畫獎 。林氏的插畫創作融合傳統版畫及數碼拼貼，以圖像記載及傳揚故事，使其得以突破語言的界限。
Kinchoi Lam is an award-winning artist based in Hong Kong. He completed his Master's degree in Children's Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University in 2020. With his first picture book, "Little big tram", he won the First Prize in the Creative Writing in Chinese Award in 2016, and also the Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Award in 2019. His other illustration works have won the Batsford Prize in the UK, and were selected for the German White Raven Award and Bologna Children's Book Fair Illustration Award. Lam's illustration works combine traditional printmaking and digital collage, to record and spread stories through images, breaking through the boundaries of language and regions.
